Cole Palmer has become a star at Chelsea with his impressive performances, earning a few nicknames along the way. However, one nickname doesn’t sit well with him.
Palmer has become a sensation both on and off the pitch, inspiring viral memes and videos, including one where he talks about his love for “Chippy chips.”
His teammates, especially Noni Madueke, are aware of the clip, with Madueke even giving him the nickname “Chippy Man.”
Madueke said: “It’s chippy man, I call him that all the time. He gets angry but it’s calm. Chippy, that’s him man. Chippy chips. He’s going to be fuming when he sees this!”
Serbian goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic also has a nickname for Cole.
Djordje revealed: “Sometimes we have lunch together and I have beetroot a lot, most time. So, Cole gave me the nickname Beetroot.”
“I needed one for him and he eats a lot of beans, which I think is normal for English people, so he is now Beans. I know people call him Cold Palmer, which is a correct nickname for him, but for me he is Beans.”
