Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram in January, as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options for the remainder of the season, according to Fichajes.

Thuram has been in superb form this season, scoring 12 goals and providing three assists in just 16 Serie A appearances, helping Inter Milan chase another league title. His impressive performances have attracted attention from various clubs, including Liverpool, who were linked with him in November.

However, Arsenal are said to be leading the race for Thuram, with the Gunners ready to invest in a forward this winter to close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool. The 27-year-old striker has been identified as a potential target, though his €100 million (£83 million) price tag could make a transfer challenging for Arsenal.

Thuram, who began his career at Sochaux before gaining prominence at Borussia Monchengladbach, joined Inter as a free agent last summer. His strong debut season included 15 goals across all competitions and a Serie A title, and he has maintained his excellent form this season.

Arsenal are looking to bolster their forward line after inconsistent performances from Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus. While Thuram is a top target, Arsenal are also considering other options, such as RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface, as alternatives.
