Mikel Arteta On Brighton: “Yeah a really tough opponent, their record is good at home. The capacity they have to adapt to different scenarios. They’ve done something different to before. I really like them.”
Arteta On the chase of Liverpool: “We have to show the same level of consistency, and more. In the last year, we have been the best team in the league, broken records, and we still haven’t won a trophy.”
Arteta On whether the volume of games will mean rotating Martinelli on the right again: “When Bukayo was injured, I think its gonna be a lot of different options. We will look at the position, the way they occupy spaces.”
“We need more threat, more players in that unit. Most importantly players performance.”
Arteta On academy helping support the team: “Regarding the PSR, thats the first intention that we had. In the academy, the timeframe, whether you have the space in the squad.”
Arteta On if the future is bright for the academy: “I think so, we have put a lot of work. The team have put in a lot of great work. We know the level. The system we have for where they are playing, for where they have to go.”
Arteta On January transfers: I don’t know. We have to focus on the players that we have. They have to have an impact on the team. At the moment the focus is on more that what we have.”
“If something extraordinary is in the market that we can afford, and we believe can have a real impact, we have to be open to that.”
