Chelsea transfer latest amid major Randal Kolo Muani update as Blues’ January plans revealed

Chelsea are not planning to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani in next month’s mid-season transfer window, football.london understands.

Reports in France on Sunday broke claiming the Blues were pursuing a move for the 26-year-old but sources have said that such speculation is wide of the mark. While Chelsea are obviously aware of Kolo Muani as a player and his current situation, there is no chance of a move in January.

In fact, football.london understands Chelsea are happy with their current squad and want minimal disruption to it next month, so activity on the incoming front is expected to be very little. Chelsea can move up to second-place in the Premier League table should they beat Ipswich Town later on today (Monday) at Portman Road.

The Blues have made an excellent start to the 2024/25 season under head coach Enzo Maresca but are looking to put things right after an agonising defeat to Fulham on Boxing Day. Ironically, Chelsea will be coming up against Liam Delap later on – someone they do indeed have an interest in.
