Kentucky crushes LSU for a big win on Senior Night
The 2024-25 Kentucky Wildcats basketball season has been an interesting one to say the least. Once SEC play began, their play was up and down, and their play was inconsistent. They have struggled in Saturday games, in particular, with the latest being a loss to Auburn.
On Tuesday night, Kentucky’s play was definitely up against the LSU Tigers. The Wildcats dominated from start to finish, winning 95-64 on Senior Night.
Kentucky jumped out in front early, and led 15-2 to start. By halftime, they were up 50-23. The second half was more of the same, and the Wildcats finished up with the blowout victory.
Otega Oweh led the way for the Cats, as he has done often. He scored 24 points and pulled down 8 rebounds to lead the team in both. Brandon Garrison and Ansley Almonor each had 15 points. Collin Chandler was a spark plug of the bench with 11.
The Wildcats led in nearly every stat against the Tigers. They out-shot them, out-rebounded them, and turned the ball over less. It was domination.
Kentucky’s final regular season opponent is Missouri on Saturday. Then they’ll play in the SEC Tournament.
