The 2025 NCAA Tournament bracket for Alabama basketball’s March Madness opponent has been announced.

The Alabama Crimson Tide ended the 2024-25 regular season and SEC Tournament with five losses in their last nine games.

Despite a rough stretch against the nation’s toughest schedule over the past month, Nate Oats’ team will hope to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row.

On Selection Sunday, Oats and his team found out that they will be a No. 2 seed in the East Region. Alabama (25-8 overall) will face No. 15 seed Robert Morris (26-8) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Cleveland on Friday. Robert Morris won the Horizon League championship.

The Alabama-Robert Morris winner will face the winner of No. 7 Saint Mary’s and No. 10 Vanderbilt in the second round of the tournament.

Alabama fell apart in the second half of Saturday’s SEC Tournament semifinal game against the Florida Gators, a 104-82 loss at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Florida defeated Tennessee 86-77 Sunday to win the SEC Tournament championship. The Gators (30-4) joined Auburn (28-5), Duke (31-3) and Houston (30-4) as No. 1 seeds in Sunday’s bracket reveal.

The Crimson Tide made their deepest run in the NCAA Tournament a season ago by taking down No. 1 seed North Carolina in the Sweet 16 and the Clemson Tigers in the Elite Eight to reach the program’s first ever Final Four.
