Viktor Gyokeres signs, two other transfers completed – Dream Chelsea attack after three deals

It is a brand new year and for Chelsea, they will be hoping to kick 2025 off in a much better fashion than how they ended 2024.

A strong start to the 2024/25 season has been somewhat overshadowed in the last week with the Blues losing back-to-back matches against Fulham and Ipswich Town. It has made some supporters more hopeful that the club will dive into the January transfer market to add some players to the current squad.

Chelsea’s attacking players have been so good thus far this season but in recent matches, they have been slightly disappointing. Will the Blues look to add to the options they already have, though, or will they stick with their current crop?

With that being said, takes a look at what would be considered the ‘dream’ attack for the Blues by the end of the month.

Gyokeres transfer agreed

This would be quite something, wouldn’t it? Chelsea have been linked with a move for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, who is having a sensational season in Portugal.

In 27 games in all competitions for the Portuguese side, the 26-year-old has bagged 27 goals while providing six assists. He is one of the most sought-after strikers in world football at the moment meaning Chelsea would not be the only club interested in his signature.

While a deal this month seems highly unlikely, you just wouldn’t put it past Chelsea having a go, would you? We have seen how the Blues operate in transfer markets under the ownership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital in recent windows…
