Alabama Crimson Tide star player wants revenge against the Tennessee Vols after loss in Knoxville

The Tennessee Vols and the Alabama Crimson Tide had arguably the best regular season game of the year this past weekend in Knoxville.

Tennessee knocked off Alabama via a buzzer-beating three-pointer from guard Jahmai Mashack after the Crimson Tide led for much of the game.

As thrilling as the win was for the Vols, it was equally disappointing for Alabama.

That’s why it’s not a surprise that Crimson Tide star point guard Mark Sears is hoping to exact some revenge on Tennessee (and other teams that Bama lost to this season) in the SEC Tournament.

“We’ve still got the SEC Tournament, and we get to see Auburn,” said Sears on Tuesday “We’ve got Florida, obviously. We can’t overlook them. But we still have Auburn for their senior night. We’ll still be able to see them and then hopefully in the SEC Tournament, we’re able to see Tennessee and all the teams we lost to. Hopefully we’ll be able to see all the teams we lost to again.”

Sears also noted that he “heard about” the video of Auburn celebrating Tennessee’s win against Alabama (which gave Auburn the outright SEC regular season championship).

We’ll see how it plays out in the SEC Tournament. Tennessee and Alabama are two of the best teams in the conference, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they run into each other in the SEC Tournament. There’s also a chance they could see each other in the NCAA Tournament.
