Eleven swimmers to represent Auburn at Women’s NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Seven Auburn swimmers and four relay alternates have been selected to compete in the 2025 Women’s NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, March 19-22, at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington.

Lora Komoroczy (50 free, 100 back, 100 fly), Morgan Carteaux (100 fly, 200 fly), Anastasia Makarova (100 breast), Elizaveta Klevanovich (50 free, 100 free), Lexie Mulvihill (50 free, 100 free), Julia Strojnowska (200 free, 500 free, 1650 free) and Audrey Crawford (200 breast, 200 IM, 400 IM) have all earned spots to compete Washington.

Polina Nevmovenko, Wyllo Hanson, Abby Gibbons and Bella Ekk will join the team as relay alternates.

Makarova, Nevmovenko and Mulvihill will all compete at their fourth NCAA Championships. Last season, Makarova earned All-American honors, finishing eighth in the 100 breast while simultaneously setting a school record at 58.15. Nevmovenko owns five All-American honors between the 200 free, 400 free, 800 free and 400 medley relays. Mulvihill secured her first All-American honors last season in Athens, Georgia, grabbing honorable mention in the 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays.

The berth marks Klevanovich’s second appearance at NCAAs. Last season, the Russian native was relay alternate, helping the Tigers to top 16 finishes in both the 200 free and 400 free relays.

Komoroczy, Carteaux, Strojnowska, Crawford, Hanson, Gibbons and Ekk will all be competing at their first NCAA Championships.

Between Komoroczy, Crawford, Carteaux and Klevanovich, the quartet has accounted for eight top-10 swims in program history this season. Komoroczy, the freshman from Budapest, Hungary is already the No. 2 performer in the 100 back (51.21) and the No. 7 performer in the 100 fly (51.65).

Last season, Ryan Wochomurka’s crew earned 19th place with 54 points, the team’s highest finish since 2019.

Head diving coach John Fox has a chance to add to the list of Auburn participants at the Championships next week at the Zone B Diving Championships, March 9-12, hosted on the Plains inside James E. Martin Aquatics Center.
